Thoughts from my Spiritual Diary-14
When God leaves you at the edge of the cliff, trust Him fully. Either 1 of the two things will happen….Either He will catch you when you fall or He will teach you to fly!!!!
This one strong thought has been with me all through thick and thin and time and again taught me some priceless lessons as I celebrate this journey called Life :)
Even today when I hit rock bottom and my life turns into a state of Inertia…..Where my sense of spiritual consciousness shatters the rhythms of my little heart and my Faith takes a huge beating and goes for a long ride…I deep down know that My Eternal Soulmate is definitely upto something! And its time to roll up my sleeve and learn a mighty lesson right from the Master of masters ;)
I have learnt many and I am still learning..i never want to grow up completely ( I love my ageless soul a bit too much ;) and everytime someone tells me of how mature I have become and when my ego swells up a bit, this quote of Mahatma Gandhi brings me back to Reality and gives me a much needed jolt!
He says “ Old as I am in age, I have no feeling that I I have ceased to grow inwardly or that my growth will stop at the dissolution of this flesh. What I am concerned with is my readiness to obey the call of Truth…My God, from moment to moment, no matter how inconsistent it may appear. My commitment is to Truth, to Him, not to consistency.”
And after many gruelling and satisfying years I learnt some of the life altering lessons.
One of the very important lesson was about recognising the face and power of True Love and letting it manifest itself beautifully…I realised ..
Love is never bound by rules and conditions, It never insists on following a set path , it is verily like the vivacious stream which insists on making its own path but finally seeks solace in the Ocean….
Love never ends at making only a single soul happy but insists on residing in the hearts of many…It is meant to be shared and not hoarded as a possession…And finally Love finds itself most happy when it is given to all, for then it manifests itself completely and chooses to rest within our souls eternally :)
It does so in mine whenever I bid goodbyes to jealousy, possessiveness and selfish self gratification and choose to put a smile on other’s faces irrespective of my desires….Thats a tall order, I know but Love does rule..and is the greatest ruler of Hearts :)
And whenever I found myself dejected and bitter it was because I forgot to look within me for Love and desired for it from every one who came in contact with me…Its so easy to play the blame game, mess up God’s gifted relationships, waste a lifetime in expectation of this beautiful thing called Love and its so difficult to give that blessed thing freely to others, isn’t it?!
Some say Love is the razor, that leaves your soul to bleed…Some say Love is the river that drowns the tender reed, some say Love is the hunger which is the aching endless need…I say Love is the Flower and you , its only seed :)
We all need Love, the heart that needs no love isn’t sent into this world. Love has no errors for all errors are only because of the want of Love!
So often I feel lost and caught in a world of complex emotions, where Goodness appears clothed in the robes of a barter transaction…wherein you give something in exchange or return of something and all your love and compassion goes right out of the window!
That’s exactly where He takes your crucial examination and if you fail in giving what you should be you end up battering and bruising your soul.
What’s the harm in returning Love for hate and Bitterness with compassion, for a change lets be a good kid of His. Ultimately in the end its not going to be between you and that person but between you and Him :)
Lets make this a New Year resolution.
The greatest thing is to Love Him and His entire Creation truly, madly and deeply …For then He.... A huge Sweetheart makes sure that we are cuddled and hugged :)
Love is the bridge God takes to walk from that side to this side…
Are we ready to welcome Him with loving hearts?
Are we ready to hug Him?

"O Lord of Laws, may i wear my scars of trials like deserved medals of chastisement, presented to me by the Sacred Hands of Thy Perfect Justice.Let my daily difficulties act as antidotes against delusion and rid me of false hopes of worldly happiness.
May the tears that flow from me at other's cruel actions wash away from my mind some hiden taint.
Let each sharp stroke of the pickax of unpleasantness expose within me new depths of wisdom.
May the unhallowed darkness of ordinary existence so frighten me that i rushingly seek Thy realm of purity and light.
Let life's sudden sword thrusts force from me only a cry for Thy succour.
May the hurtful diggings of circumstance into the soil of my being uncover the ever bubbling well-spring of Thy solace.
Let the ugliness of unkindness in others impel me to make myself beautiful with loving-kindness.
May harsh speech from my companions remind me to use sweet words always.
If stones from evil minds are cast at me, let me send in return only missiles of goodwishes.
As a jasmine vine sheds its flowers over the hands delivering ax blows at its roots, so, on all who act inimically toward me may i shower the blossoms of forgiveness.
Craving, strugling, weeping and smiling for others, at last may i find my Self in all. "
-My Beloved Sri Sri Paramahansa Yogananda ji
( From his book- Whispers from Eternity )
This beautiful prayer holds a very special place in my heart and i have lost the number of times it has spoken to my soul... guiding me, awakening me from my slumber, teaching me to open my heart and experience His Oneness in every atom, rising above worldly duties and getting lost in His Beautiful Kingdom...
To all those who visit and grace my little blog and to all those who read this Blessed prayer of Yogananda ji, may you find that spark of Divinity in yourself and may you begin the new year with renewed spirits and sparkling selves :)
May this prayer open up an Ocean of Love and may it connect you to Him...My Beloved...Our Beloved :)

Joy to the Earth, The Lord is come :)
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.He makes me lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside still waters;
He restores my soul.
He leads me in right paths for his name's sake.
Even though I walk through the valley
of the shadow of death,
I fear no evil;
for You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff--they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord
forever.
- Psalms 23: 1-6
Merry Christmas to one and all :))
May The Lord Jesus Christ bless all your hearts with unceasing joy and peace. Amen.
Lots of love and prayers from this humble heart!

Celebrate Forgiveness
Why is it so hard to forgive others?Usually because we believe that they are 90% to blame for the problem, that i am not as bad as they are. So i start to carry the load of other people's actions.
If i feel too hurt, i will have the sense of correction, of justice: "I know i am right.", "That is not fair."
But if i start to forgive from the heart, sincerely, then this kind if feeling and attitude begins to dissolve.
I remain humble and this forgiveness will bring me closer to others. Then i do not carry regrets or anger.
I just let go and remain light :)
As the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi beautifully said, " The weak cannot forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong."
So let us not be like the hand that crushed the flower, but be like the crushed flower which leaves fragrance in the hand that crushed it :)

Thought of the week :)
“ God expects but one thing of you, and that is ..you should come out of yourself in so far as you are a created being and let God be God in you.”
- Meister Eckhart.
In those moments when we forget ourselves- not thinking, “ Am I happy?” but completely oblivious to our little restless Ego- we spend a brief but a beautiful holiday in Heaven.
The mystics tell us that the joy we experience in these moments of self- forgetting is our true nature, our native state.
To regain it, we simply have to empty ourselves of what hides this Joy: that is, to stop dwelling on ourselves, our desires, our likes and dislikes, our preferences. To the extent that we are not full of ourselves, God can fill us- in fact, the Mystics daringly say, He has to!
And as Rumi , the world’s Beloved Mystic beautifully says, “Once you forget yourself, God remembers you, once you become His slave, then you are Free.”

Thought of the Week :)
“ A devotee who can call on God while living a householder’s life is a hero indeed.God thinks: “ He is blessed indeed who prays to Me in the midst of his wordly duties. He is trying to find Me, overcoming a great obstacle- pushing away, as it were, a huge block of stone weighing a ton. Such a man is a real Hero.”
-Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa.
To lead a Spiritual life, it is not necessary to give up our jobs, our relationships, leave our family, change our religion, or to travel to distant lands. We start wherever we are, not running away from society, but right in the midst of our chaotic, noisy lives.
Whatever context we find ourselves in, is a suitable one to overcome our problems and grow to our full potential as humans. We tend to overlook upon the other home as peaceful, that other couple as perfect, the other parent-child relationship as ideal, but this isn’t likely.
Everyone has certain liabilities as well as assets.
Everyone has imperfections and have committed mistakes and learnt that vital lesson of life.
For I truly believe that we all are in the
Some flowers grow best in the Sun while others do well in Shade.
Remember, God puts us where we grow best and accordingly gives us people and situations to grow with!! For He is the Best Teacher we could ever have.
His Mystics too are loving realists.
“ Don’t wait for ideal conditions. You’ll never find them,” they admonish. “ Begin! And the conditions you seek and need will come to you.”

Thought of the Week :)
A man once asked the Mystic Bayazid Al- Bistami:
“Who is the true Prince? The man who cannot choose, said Bayazid :
But the man for whom God’s choice is the only possible choice.”
The Lord is extending the Gift of Immortality to each of us, but we do not reach out to take it because we are holding a few pennies in our hands. I don’t knowif you have seen infants in this dilemma; it happens at a particular stage of development, when they have learned to grasp but not quite mastered the art of letting go. They have a rattle I one hand; you offer them a toothbrush , and for a while they just look back and forth at the toothbrush, then the rattle, then again at the brush. You can almost see the gray matter working: “ I want that toothbrush, but how can I take it? My hand is already full.”
Similarly, all of us look at the Lord’s Gift for a while, asking “ What is this? How do I know its real? Give it to me first ; then I’ll let the pennies go.”
The Lord smiles and waits. He can offer the Gift, but for us to take it, we have to open our hands. And there comes a time when we want something more than those pennies so passionately that we longer care what it costs.
Then we open our hands finally, let go of our possessions and discover that for those pennies we have dropped, we have received an Incomparable Treasure :)

Lord Krishna says in The Bhagavad Gita,( The Sacred Scripture of Hinduism)
" It is indeed impossible for any embodied being to abstain from work altogether. But he who gives up the fruit of action, he is said to be the Relinquisher." Chapter xviii- Verse 11
The Gita insists not on the renunciation of actions but on performing duties with renunciation of desire for the fruits of such actions.
" An action which is obligatory, which is performed without attachment, without love or hate by one undesirous of fruit, that is said to be of Goodness." Chapter xviii- Verse 23

Thought of the day :)
" God remembers us, though we remember Him not." the Master said.
"If He forgot creation for a second, everything would disappear tracelessly. Who but He holds in the sky this mud ball of earth? Who but He impels the growth of trees and flowers?
It is The Lord alone who maintains the beat of our hearts, digests our food, and daily renews our body cells. Yet how few of His children give Him a thought! "
"The mind, " Paramahansaji said, "is like a miraculous rubber band that can be expanded to Infinity without breaking. "

The Cosmic Audition
In
Chitragupta looked at the man’s record. There was not a single entry on the debit page. He was impressed. Then he turned to the credit page and stared in astonishment. This page, too, was completely blank. Chitragupta didn’t know what to do. The man had never helped anybody, never hurt anybody, never offended anybody, never loved anybody.
He couldn’t be sent to heaven, but he couldn’t be sent to hell either.
So Chitragupta took him to Brahma, The God of Creation, and said, “You made this guy. What shall I do with him?”
Lord Brahma looked at the statute books and couldn’t find a precedent to cover the case, so he said, “Take him to
Lord Krishna said, “The buck stops here.” He examined the records very carefully and there, almost illegible, was an ancient credit entry: “Gave two cents to a beggar at the age of six.”
“There,” Sri Krishna said, “Return his two cents and send him back to earth to try again.”
Until we have learned to give freely of ourselves, we have not learned how to live. Give to the world what you desire the world to give you... and do that with all your love because Love has no errors, for all errors are the want of love :)
And as The Corinthians 11 states beautifully, “God loveth a cheerful giver.”

True helpfulness comes from connection, not from words.
" Words alone dont help. It is what God speaks in our hearts when we read or hear words that helps. That's why familiar passages from sacred scriptures often mean something new each time we re-read them. And that's why it never works for me to decide what someone else needs to hear. If i want to be of use today, I must focus on my feelings of connection with others, because God is heard within the experience of Love."

" It does not seem right that The Heavenly Father should allow so much misery in the world," a student remarked.Paramahansaji replied: "No cruelty exists in God's plan, because in His eyes there is no good or evil- only pictures of light and shadows. The Lord intended us to view the dualistic scenes of life as He does Himself- the ever joyous Witness of a stupendous cosmic drama. Man has falsely identified himself with the pseudo-soul or ego. When he transfers his sense of identity to his true being, the immortal soul, he discovers that all pain is unreal. He no longer can even imagine the state of suffering."
The Guru added: " Great Masters who come to earth to help their bewildered brothers are permitted by God to share, on a certain level of their minds, the sorrows of mankind; but that sympathetic participation in human feelings does not disturb deeper levels of consciousness on which Saints experience only changeless beatitude. "

The Timeless Wisdom of Kahlil Gibran
"The angels keep count of every tear shed by Sorrow: and they bring to the ears of the spirits hovering in the heavens of the Infinite, each song of Joy wrought from our affections. There, in the world to come, we shall see and feel all the vibrations of our feelings and the motions of our hearts. We shall understand the meaning of Divinity then within us, whom we so condemn because we are so delusioned by Despair."

Thought of the day :)
" Far have i travelled,
Long have i struggled,
Following the impulse of my restless will
Seeking! Seeking! Seeking!
In quest of happiness i sought through life's mansion...
But happiness i found not there.
I found happiness nowhere till my self-will was lost in His Will "

The Wisdom of Sufi Mysticism
A Sufi master was sitting quietly, when a group of men came to punish him for the wrongs he was accused of committing. The men rained blows on the Sufi master, hitting him a thousand times. Yet, the master remained silent and no sign of pain appeared on his face. After they had finished beating him, the men took the Sufi master to the court. The judges asked, " How did you suffer no pain when you were beaten? " The master replied: " When the men were raining blows on me, my beloved wife was looking on. Her love made the pain seem easier. Then I thought that, if the loving gaze of a human being can ease pain, the Loving Gaze of God can eliminate pain altogether. "

The Extent of His Grace
No matter how great your Faith and trust in the Divine Grace, no matter how great your capacity to see it at work in all circumstances, at every moment, at every point in life, you will never succeed in understanding the marvellous immensity of Its Action, and the precision, the exactitude with which this Action is accomplished: you will never be able to grasp to what extent His Grace does everything, is behind everything, organises everything, conducts everything, so that the march forward to the Divine Realization may be as swift, as complete, as total and harmonious as possible, considering the circumstances of the world. As soon as you are in contact with Him, there is not a second in time, not a point in space, which does not show you dazzlingly this perpetual work of Grace, and His constant intervention. And once you have seen this, you feel you are never equal to it, for you should never forget it, never have any fears, anguish, regrets, recoils...or even suffering. If one were in Union with this Grace, if one saw Him everywhere, one would begin living a life of exultation, of all-power, of Infinite happiness. And that would be the Best possible Collaboration in The Divine Work.

Back Home to where the Heart is :)
Praise The Lord! It feels great to be back, after a long hiatus : ) Its been a long holiday of sorts only from blogging, not otherwise (oh, how I crave for a never-ending one ;) Life has been giving me so many experiences and showing me such hues of emotions, all blended together to make me a better and a stronger human being. Often I find myself so vulnerable and sensitive to the different events and happenings of life that I fail to figure out the real hidden me ;)
Veiled underneath layers of personal desires, the silly but huge ego-trap, expectations of my loved ones, passion to grow, excel in becoming better and attaining a calm, blissful composure, my emotional wants, and well, the list is endless…!
But yes, this break did open my eyes to reality, reminded me of the value and importance of love and togetherness which we so often take for granted in more ways than one, taught me the vital virtue of having immense patience, for in the times of adversity, God is verily with those who are patient: so beautifully says The Quran : )
I spent so much of my time in plain silence, just with myself trying and getting to know me! We all feel so alone at some point of time and its in that defining moment where some aspect of realization shines and smiles upon our dusty souls and we strongly feel that we belong to Him..Maybe we are His chosen ones, and that’s the only consolation for all that melodrama which takes place in our daily life!
Heartbreaks, failures, loss, sadness, unhappiness, crisis, loneliness, illness, death of a loved one…no matter what, He is closest to us than all the other happy times…Remember that beautiful story of God and the footprints? So often we feel He has deserted us and is so far but the truth is that He has picked us up and is carrying us in His arms :)) This is one of my favourite stories and it has such a special place in my heart!!
Coming back to all my Beautiful souls…I have been missing you all so much, the beauty and those magical words full of love and wisdom so often has filled this little, naughty and restless heart with unceasing joy! It has been a real blessing that I had got some very encouraging and heart warming emails wherein it was such a motivation to get back to blogging …something that I am so fond of : not to mention the lovely souls who I have met and conversed with through the blog :))
Thank you so much for making my life such a beautiful journey and the love and encouragement that you all have offered me through your mails :) It really means so much to me.
Looking forward to tread along this Blessed Path with you all once again hand in hand!
Also Wishing you all a very blessed and Happy Eid Mubarak :)

My Dear Beautiful Souls,
Its been a very hectic month and I haven’t been able to post regularly and do the thing I so dearly love- Blogging and visiting all you friends!!
“The noise made by all the words, all the ideas in your head is so deafeaning that it prevents you from hearing the Truth when it wants to be manifested. ”says, The Mother and this statement perfectly describes my current state of mind!
When life gives you a hoard of things to be accomplished and puts on you unlimited expectations coupled with a rising workload, it seems so hard to find the time to do what makes you feel at Bliss. I haven’t been able to concentrate on reading new books, writing or finding the time to share with you all what is close to my heart.
So dear ones, I am off on a self imposed short hibernation for a few weeks till I find some inspiration and a little time to put up something nice on the blog! Also this time I would be trying to put up more from (Thoughts from my Spiritual Diary) Its been quite a while though!
Till then, I am leaving you all with loads of Love and my heartfelt prayers :)
Do take good care of yourselves and Forever Keep The Faith :)
God Bless you all!
Hugs and Smiles,
Krishna :)

The truth is that God is using evil, not to destroy us, but to make us disillusioned with His toys, with the playthings of this world, so that we might seek Him.
Trouble and sorrow have a lesson for us. Our painful experiences are not meant to break us, but to burn out our dross, to hurry us back Home.
No one is more anxious for our release than God."
- Sri Sri Paramahansa Yogananda (PBUH)
