The Mystical World of Rumi

You've no idea how hard I've looked for a gift to bring You.

Nothing seemed right. What's the point of bringing gold
to the gold mine, or water to the Ocean.

Everything I came up with was like taking spices to the Orient.

It's no good giving my heart and my soul because you already have these.

So- I've brought you a mirror.Look at yourself and remember me.

- Jalaluddin Rumi
(World's Beloved Mystic, Poet, Philosopher)

Thanks again for your Lovely comments. It's helpful for me to express myself this way, even though I would trade it any day for what is now gone..

This poem you share here is very personal to me.. May others find a special place for it in their hearts too.

I'm adding you to my blogroll. And I will e-mail you soon insha'Allah.

Our hearts can be our mirrors; when polished brightly enough, we may only then present it as a gift to our Beloved to have Him reflecting forever in our hearts, though our "selves" no longer be!

Thanks dear Krishna for this inspiring wine from Rumi's Tavern of Love.
